   Our family, that is: Astrid, born in '67 who's working in a home for elderly people. Then we have Frederick (Rick), born September 2nd,1996. Finally there's Desmond, born July 18th, 2003. About myself there's nothing much to state. I was born in '65 and work as account manager at AEG POWER SOLUTIONS, a company that manufactures and sells static AC and DC power supplies. My biggest passions (apart from my family) are classic cars and a race sim called Grand Prix Legends. I want to claim a small spot in cyberspace for my mother
who died on April 2nd, 2002, just two weeks after her 65th birthday.
My mother was hospitalized in December 2001 and just a short time later
cancer was determined. Within three months my mother lost the battle against
this horrifying disease. We lived in Rostock, East Germany when my mother met a Dutch sailor. In 1978 she took a decision and followed her new husband to the unknown Netherlands.. That decision has had a substantial influence on the rest of my life and thanks to her I can lead a pretty comfortable life now. I regret very much that she has not really had the chance to live her life to the full as I do. She would have deserved it so much....

Thank god I can report some better news about my father (technically my
stepfather but I never called him that). As a
captain of gas and oil tankers he has been travelling around the world for
the past dozens of years. Pa Crabbendam remarried
a few years ago and lives in Malaysia nowadays. Not bad is it!? He doesn't come to Europe very often and that's a pity. On the other hand this provides us with a cheap and comfortable holiday adres, it's only a pity that travelling by car takes soooo long.
