![]() Our summer holiday led us to Scotland this year. With this trip a long cherished wish came true. Due to the nature of the Scottish climate we decided to leave the tent home and rent a cottage. Eventually we chose to stay just North of Oban in a nice, little village called Benderloch at the shore of Ardmucknish Bay. This is on the West side of Scotland in an area known as Argyll and Bute that offers unspoilt nature and outdoor fun for everyone. We were warm welcomed by June Currie and her husband Willie at Hawthorne cottages and felt at home straight away. I sure can recommend a stay there to anyone visiting the area.
We visited Loch Ness and saw breathtakingly beautifull views across Urquhart Castle. While driving up to Loch Etive we spotted deer in the woods..... absolutely stunning to see. I could continue for hours talking about this fabulous holiday but just see for yourself. The pics below show more than I could ever describe ..........
